WELCOME

On behalf of the faculty and staff at the Geneva Regional Career Technical Center (GTECH), we welcome students from all four high schools across Geneva County including Samson High School, Geneva High School, Geneva County High School, and Slocomb High School. Students, parents, industry partners, and community members are always welcome to call or visit to learn more about the opportunities career and technical education (CTE) has to offer students of Geneva County.

GTECH houses six dynamic CTE programs to prepare students for success. Students will complete GTECH prepared to further their education or enter the workforce in Early Childhood Education, Health Science, Welding, Aviation, Information Technology, or Automotive Service. Students may also gain valuable CTE knowledge and skills through the Agriscience, Business, and Family Studies and Community Services programs located in each high school.

Technical skills learned through our CTE programs will ensure students complete their CTE program college and career ready. Students will also learn workplace and personal soft skills to enable them to reach their full potential. This is accomplished through an emphasis in career and technical student organizations including HOSA, SKILLSUSA, FBLA, FCCLA, and FFA.

Whether through a formal mentoring program, or by placing students in job shadowing or internship opportunities, CTE links students to the community using work-based learning opportunities in ways that many other high school programs cannot.

For more information about the exciting opportunities at the Geneva Regional Career Tech Center give us a call or just stop by, my office is always open.
